The Safest Way

Good morning!

We have just passed a period of extreme weather warnings. Earlier this morning we had severe thunder and big hailstones. Yesterday the temperature went up to 68 degrees; it is still 55 in the early morning, and it is forecast to go down to the 10s later today with snow.

The news from Japan reported on the 17th anniversary of the Kobe area earthquake, which claimed more than sis thousand lives. Japan has 0.3% of the land area and 10% of the earthquakes on the globe, giving no guarantee of safety for nuclear reactors.

Recently it was found that the stones used in the foundation of an apartment complex where some evacuees have been living are contaminated by radiation. People must eat irradiated food. Yesterday news came from Canada about an irradiated fish warning.

When we go against nature, as in nuclear fission, we have the danger of radiation for many years, and thousand and millions of years to become safe from it. What is the safest way? Go back to nature and the source, before our karma created unnatural things.

The Buddha pursued and was awakened to the way beyond all problems and sufferings. He lived the most natural – even beyond natural – way, in unconditioned peace with unsurpassed awakening. This is the way of absolute safety for all and always.
