Stronger Support System, Healthier Heavy Hanging

Good morning!   I found the grape trellis framework collapsed due to weathering, with heavy snow on the net and heavy hanging of Topsy Turvy bags.   It is very difficult to build, keep, and rebuild such systemic framework. It requires constant caution, care, cure, and cultivation.   It needs support systems with reinforcers, eliminating the damaging elements of wintry winds and baggy burdens.   The more complex a system it becomes, the more careful caution, care, cure, and cultivation it requires.   Make support systems stronger, and heavy hangings healthier. We need supporting systems, but not baggy burdens.   4/4/13     NG (National Geographic), mime-attachment1

Selfless Supramundane Saving

Good morning!   Today’s Tricycle message is about letting go. Someone said that the first one freed in freeing slaves is the slave owner, free and not forced.   I often say that possession is possessedness. Selfish short-sight and short-circuit are the sources of suffering. Selfless supramundane and saving are the sources of satisfaction.   Small selves cannot survive with the five Ss of systemic, sustainable, saving, safe, and simple style of living, as they go against the wholly wholesome way of living.   2/19/13

Castle Collapse

Good morning!   We have a very chilly morning here. In Japan they’re having a big snow storm with frozen, slippery roads.   It is difficult to come out in such conditions, but when we come here and sit, we can settle in one warm world.   Ikko Roshi said, “The collapse of a castle starts with whispering.” It starts with mistrust of oneself and others, miscommunication, and mismanagement.   When the inner or outer force of “divide and rule” comes, a castle collapses easily. So, we must settle together, safe from the chilly, slippery world.   1/15/13

Separating Symbolism Is not Systemic Truth

Good morning!   When we open windows and sit calm and clear, the sounds of birds’ singing and the water streaming sweeps throughout our world freely and fully.   If only one window or no window is open, wind and … Continue reading

Flowers Blooming: World Arisen

Good morning! “Flowers blooming, the world is arisen.” When flowers are brought in and bedecking, the whole house is brightened with beauty; Buddhas and bodhisattvas smile. When the Buddha held up a flower, Mahakashapa smiled. Then  millions and millions of … Continue reading

Serene Selfless State

Good evening!   We cannot see the moon tonight, but the moon is always there beyond clouds. If we observe it long enough, we come to know that the full moon is always there.   The full moon reflects the … Continue reading

Man’s Manipulation and Menace

Good morning!   Because of the clouds we cannot see the beautiful bright round moon today. Yesterday the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists moved the “Doomsday Clock” a minute forward, to five minutes before Doomsday.   Like the radiation rain … Continue reading

Individual Karma, Shared Karma, Non-karma

Good evening!   We had a very warm day going up to seventy. We got the news that the economic damage related with the severe weather was the biggest ever. This is the shared karma.   A few days ago … Continue reading
