Serene Selfless State

Good evening!

We cannot see the moon tonight, but the moon is always there beyond clouds. If we observe it long enough, we come to know that the full moon is always there.

The full moon reflects the sun and illuminates the whole world like a round mirror. King Mirror summoned blind people to feel an animal and to report to him what they found.

They felt only parts of it, but the king had the whole picture of the elephant. So, when we sit down solid and serene, we can see the dharma of all dharmas, norm of all forms.

The dharma of all dharmas is the law of dependent origination, i.e., all phenomena are dependently originated on causes and conditions in interdependence and impermanence.

In this world we are driven by karma with me-ism, materialism, and militarism. People think this real and profitable. It’s not so, but only deluded and destructive karma.

Deluded, we can’t see the whole picture, remaining ignorant, ignoble, and irresponsible. Only when we actually sit and stop karmas can we witness a wholly serene selfless state.

Only when we existentially witness it can we see limitless life, light, liberation, and love, tasting amrita, ambrosia of immortality, awakened from the long night of nescience.
