Advance Cure or After Care

Good morning!

Even though we are now in September, with autumn like insects singing, we have a very warm morning with the temperature going above 100 the coming few days. We still have the hurricane aftermath here and typhoon 12 coming to Japan.

In Japan August 31 is “Disaster Prevention Day.” So they had emergency treatment of nuclear power stations, evacuation drills, and the moving of shelters to higher ground, especially due to the triple tragedy of the record earthquake, tsunami and nuclear disaster.

But, this is not really prevention cure, but symptom care; it is not returning to and solving the source problem. The ultimate problem lies in our triple poisons of attachment, aversion, and delusion, and with the triple maladies of me-ism, materialism, and militarism.

Unless we solve our problems of self, state, and civilization, we will continue our problems. We must conquer our selves, cultivate our minds, and come back to the culture of life, with great, mature, and joyful minds, living on joy in truth, freedom, and peace.
