Wakeful and Wholly wholesome

Good evening!

We had 102-degree hot and dry weather today and are going to have similar weather tomorrow.

The Sino-Japanese character for autumn depicts grass on fire (秋). Autumn is like fire burning for plants.

Now our world is on fire. Unless we truly know this, we are not awakened. If we don’t act to solve these problems, we have not yet embodied dharma.

If we don’t become one with the whole global life system, we are not yet building a true sangha.

Unless we have wisdom and compassion or love, which religions teach us, we are not yet religious or holy.

If we just go on with our self-interested karma, we will destroy the world, the whole global life system.

Unless we are awakened and act wakefully to cope with this situation, we are not yet awakened ones or religious and holy ones.

If we give plants water, they survive the heat and even bloom and bear fruit. So, we must know and act accordingly.
