Becoming Buddhas

Good evening!

We had a 100 degree high temperature today in autumn. We received articles, posted on our e-list, on how this country is run and how our global catastrophe is imminent.

One of these catastrophes is the nuclear disaster. Recently Japan had a nuclear disaster; there are about 500 nuclear reactors across the globe.

We are now having big earthquakes, and some reactors are weak against these events. The Japanese people now understand they were deceived by the safety myth of nuclear power, but it’s too late.

Many can’t take back their healthy lives or go back home, having lost possessions, jobs, communities, traditions, cultures, trust in food, power, info, even people.

Humans are said to use 50 slaves per capita average for matter and power. Americans consume, waste, and pollute six times the global average, so they possess 300 slaves.

This pyramidal system is based on militarism, materialism, mammonism – and me-ism, the real culprit of the global problematique – which are destroying the global life system.

Unless the majority of people become disillusioned and become awakened (buddhas), we can’t stop this trend – global warming and mass extinction, including human species.

Rather than becoming a slave or slave holder, the Buddha shared with all beings the wholly wholesome truth, peace, goodness, beauty, and harmony.

Only in this way can we live truly on joy, confident and content, tasting amrita (ambrosia of immortality). Otherwise we are going headlong, doomed, to destruction and demise.
