Making Mind from Mother Nature

Good morning!

The temperature is now 80 degrees and going up to 99, with a heat index of 106. Of course, every one feels the heat wave, but few deal with global warming.

The Buddha spoke of “making the mind from mother nature (yoni-so manasi-kâra).” We must think and act from the very source, dharma (truth) world (mother earth/nature).

This sitting is to stop our karma (limited knowledge and action) and go from self to dharma, from karma to dharma.

The Four Applications or Dedication (pradhâna, pahâna) are to do this, changing our views and values, knowledge and action, from karma to dharma.

We are at the crucial juncture either to prosperity or perishing in the truth world, the original and natural system.

We need to sit still and serene, stop karmas, see far and wide enough in space and time, and act properly – wakefully.
