Mind-Mundus

Good evening!

When I left my home to come here tonight, I couldn’t see the full moon. But when I got on the Highway 40 East, I saw the big, bright, golden moon just coming up from the horizon.

While driving, I saw it appear through the trees, sometimes going above, sometimes coming down, and sometimes disappearing.

When I arrived here, I couldn’t see the full moon, but high in the sky Orion and other stars were bright and clear.

When I approached the altar, the candle was burning bright, and the incense offered was also bright.

When our minds are bright, the world becomes bright. In the Weimoching it’s said, “The mind pure; the land pure.”

The Buddha said “The world is on fire” – we now see this everywhere, in global warming also – “the eyes are on fire, ears…, nose…, tongue…, and mind are on fire.”

That’s why the Buddha spent his whole life in striving and teaching cultivation of the mind – so that the world can become bright and peaceful.

When we cultivate our own minds, the land becomes pure and peaceful. Everyone has the mind moon to cultivate, the land to make bright, and the means to enjoy the pure land.
