Spring Sense

Good evening!

It’s said that a moment in a spring evening is worth a thousand pieces of gold (???????). Why is this so? This is the time when all things are in harmony, neither chilly nor hot, after the winter weather and before the severe summer. All things spring up after and before extremes.

All the life system is in harmony with wind and water, sunlight and stardust. After field and farm work, we sit in harmony and holiness. To attain holiness – the wholly wholesome – we must stop the human hindrance, karma: delusion, attachment, and aversion.

So, we sit and stop our karma – physical, verbal and mental (volitions, emotions, and conceptions). Then we find ourselves in nirvana (meaning “windless,” i.e., karma-less, unconditioned peace). We can witness harmony, holiness, and happiness, and realize unsurpassed awakening.

So, enjoy this moment in the spring evening with the best posture, best breathing, and best mental state!
