Independence in Interdependence

Good morning!

We could see the full moon in the west and the rising sun in the east just before we came here.

Today is Independence Day. So, the traffic, usually jammed with hustle and bustle, was almost empty and noiseless.

We can sit without noise in vast vacuity, in nirvana, freed from the tyranny of terror, hustle and bustle, pollution, radiation, etc.

The west, where the sun sets, is regarded as the pure land (jôdo:浄土 ) or paradise (極楽: gokuraku, lit. ultimate comfort) where all ultimately rest.

The full moon is interdependent with the sun, the earth, but independent in knowing them and, in distance, far from Uranus and Pluto in vast space.

All are interdependent, but also independent in knowledge and action from worldly worries, much more from dangerous uranium and plutonium.

Freedom (philia-domos: friendship domain) is not licentiousness, but familiarity with the truth of limitless interdependence in purity, prognosis, and practice.

In this way we can live in limitless life, light, liberation, and love in limitless truth, peace, harmony, and happiness.

Mallows blooming,

The full moon in the west;

The sun in the east.
