Good morning!
We have a nice drizzling with warm weather at the spring solstice, risshun (立春), raising spring. Who raises spring? The sun. Who raises us? The sun – truly, the total universe.
Every day Rui-yan (瑞巌) said and responded, “Master!” “Yes!” “Are you awake?” “Yes, I am.” “Never get human deceptions another day, another time.” “No, I will not.”
If we can wake up, we are lucky. The Buddha was addressed Bhagavan (the lucky one, lit. full of luck). He enjoyed the abundant world, limitless life and light beyond the small self.
When we become limited, we becomes bagabond (degraded from bhagavan), beggar. In this way we perish in persona. A president may become pauper, begging and blemishing.
When we sit and stop karmas, we become unlimited and abundant with luck, bhaga-van (luck-ful). We can become awakened in amrita, ambrosia of immortality.
Whenever we sit in zazen, we can enjoy limitless life, light, liberation, love. Limitless luck is in our limitless learning. Only practice makes possible and perfect.
