Daily Living Determines Life

Good morning!

We have a nice, warm winter morning. We are fortunate to wake up early and sit in peace and truth. We may fall asleep and not be able to wake up, much less live in peace and truth. Heart attacks, accidents, or anything may take place any time.

A couple of days ago I received a message on an e-list from someone responding to the congratulations on his birthday. He wanted to achieve his goal. I sent an e-mail to the list, telling the Buddha’s birth name, Siddha-attha (Siddha-artha, attaining goal), and sending wishes that his goal be attained.

Our goals determine our life. There are births and deaths to be celebrated or censured by many for many thousands of years. What are the goals we want to attain? Our daily living-practice determines our life – what and how to attain our goals.
