Wholly Wholesome Wakefulness

Good evening!

When we sit in zazen perfectly, we become pure and peaceful, wholly wholesome, without killing, stealing, lying, etc. – just in harmony with all.

This morning I went into my back yard and found the peaches and grapes gone. I don’t know who took them – maybe squirrels. Some vegetables isolated under trees had dried out.

Within a day or even less we may lose our precious things. Our countries are stolen and soiled, and our globe is damaged and destroyed. So, we must be wakeful and watchful.

Our practice of the awakened way must go on with awakening and wakefulness. Then, we can witness wholly wholesome truth, goodness, beauty, holiness, and harmony.
