Awake or Asleep

Good morning!

When we sit with open windows, we can enjoy insects’ singing, birds’ chirping, the waterfall flowing, and cool air blowing in.

If we close our windows, we will miss these things. If we remain asleep, we can’t see, hear, feel, and enjoy them.

Where we humans see water, fish see a beautiful palace, celestial beings see a necklace, and devilish beings see a blood bath.

However much we try to understand an elephant’s form by touch, if we are blind, we can’t see its color, shape, and the whole picture.

That’s why we need to wake up and see the whole picture – seeing, hearing, communicating, and cooperating for truth, goodness, beauty, holiness, and harmony.

Who knows what the wholly wholesome truth is? Who knows when the wintry wind will blow our life light out?
