The Axial Age was the great turning on the axis by the people freed from the collective thinking, tribal habits, material values, and warring states to individual freedom, universal truth/ethic, spiritual values, and peaceful life. There were many kinds of thoughts and lives, but only rational, practical, universal ways remained.
Religions are ways of life and ways to life (in truth, good, beatitude, holiness) with universal truth (identified as Dharma, Dao, Dei, Divinity, etc.) and ethic (Five/Ten Precepts, Ten Commandments, now put into Global Ethic). Thus, superstition, sectarianism, seclusion, chauvinism, sacrifice, suffer-causing are not true religions.
Religions are reunion (from Latin religare: reunion) with holiness (wholesome whole) from sin (sick separation). Historically, they developed from small tribal to racial, national, world (-wide), etc. They should advance further from homo-centric to all life, global and universal (inclusive of all species and things).
The true holiness must advance from racial, homo-centric to universal (inclusive of other species, other beings, the entire universe). The universal truth and ethic must embrace all to see, share, serve, and save all throughout space and time in limitless life, light, liberation, and love in holy (wholly wholesome) harmony.

軸時代とは、人々が集団的思考、部族的習慣、物質的価値、戦乱国家から解放されて、個人の自由、普遍的真理・倫理、精神的価値、平和な生き方へと転換した大きな「軸の回転」でした。さまざまな思想や生活様式がありましたが、理性的・実践的で普遍的な道だけが残りました。
宗教とは、「生の道」であり、真理・善・至福・聖性の中で「生への道」です。それはダルマ、道（タオ）、神、性などと認識される普遍的真理と、五戒・十戒・十の掟などに表され、現在では「地球倫理」にまとめられる普遍的倫理に基づいています。したがって、迷信、宗派主義、排他性、狂信、犠牲、苦しみをもたらすものは真の宗教ではありません。
宗教とは、「罪（病んだ分離）」から「聖（健全な全体）」への再統合（ラテン語 religare：再結合）です。歴史的には、宗教は小さな部族レベルから、人種的、国家的、そして世界的へと発展してきました。そして今、それをさらに進化させ、人間中心から全生命、地球全体、そして宇宙を包摂する方向へ進めるべきです。
真の聖性とは、人種的・人間中心的な枠を超えて、他の種や存在、宇宙全体を含む普遍的なものでなければなりません。普遍的真理と倫理は、空間と時間を超えて、すべての存在を見、分かち合い、奉仕し、救済するものとなり、限りない生命、光明、解放、愛情の中で、聖なる（全体健全な）調和を実現すべきです。
