Attaining Amrita (Ambrosia/immortality)

Good morning!

The hot summer has turned into cool autumn. We are expecting rain at any moment, so the singing birds and silent plants are enjoying moistened air and expecting the compassionate rain.

The season of spring, when things spring up, turns into the sunny summer, and then to fall, when leaves and plants fall, and finally to the windy winter. We know that all living beings are like shifting seasons – springing up and falling down.

Before the deadly winter, we have the autumn of harvesting. What do we want to harvest? Matter or money? Yâjñavalkya said, “You can’t attain immortality even with a world filled with gold.” Maitreyî preferred to inherit immortality rather than material goods.

There is the path of purity, unconditioned peace, and unsurpassed awakening, where one can taste amrita, ambrosia of immortality. “It is good in the beginning, in the middle, and in the end” for all. Anyone can witness this “come and see” way.
