Good evening!
Toward the end of summer we are now hearing the strong sounds of cicadas. There is a haiku poem:
Showing no sign
Of dying soon,
Cicada sounds.
We humans are also going to die soon, as individuals, states, and civilizations. We are causing mass extinction because of me-ism, materialism, and militarism.
Where does this come from? It comes from the delusion of the independent self. Unless we are awakened to this and act wakefully, we are destined to destruction and demise.
We all must sit down, stop karmas, and see the selfless dharma (form/norm, phenomena/law) world, and work together in truth, goodness, peace, and holiness.
