Cultivation Is Verification

Good morning!

When we get up early, come here, and sit in zazen, we can enjoy the fresh morning air with the sound of flowing water and singing birds.

When we step in the garden, we can touch the morning dew and smell the fragrance of flowers.

When we water the garden, we find morning glories, day lilies, and hibiscus already blooming.

When we work weeding in the garden, we find beautiful tiny flowers, moss, etc. underneath weeds.

When we miss watering, the germinated, sprouting, transplanted plants dry and die, or stop growing.

So, every step of cultivation is verification here and now. We see the cause and effect and enjoy the good effects of our practice.
