From Me-ism, Materialism, Militarism to Harmony, Holiness, Happiness

Good morning!

We had frost fall on the ground in some places this morning. When, however, we came here, we could see the beautiful brilliant sun and clear colorful fall foliage. We could wade through a golden sea of fallen leaves and autumn flowers. When we sit in zazen, we can settle in nirvana, unconditioned peace, and taste amrita, ambrosia or immortality.

An article in today’s New York Times, “America’s Exploding Pipe Dream,” showed the U.S.A. ranking 27th out of 31 OECD countries in social justice. There is no holy truth, beauty, and goodness in the limited life of me-ism, materialism, and militarism. We had better live the limitless life in harmony, holiness, and happiness.
