Totalianism

Good evening!

When we sit solid and serene, we stop our physical, verbal, and mental karmas, freed from them. So, we can enjoy peace and truth.

In our ordinary life, we pursue comfort and pleasure, which comes from our self-survival instinct. This is natural for any living being.

Humans, however, are special, having developed their bodies and minds, knowledge and technologies, and so cause far greater results.

We are now causing all kinds of problems and sufferings, a global problematique, including global warming, mass extinction.

If we just continue our natural life and business as usual, we will remain in “comfort/pleasure totalitarianism.” This is not by dictators, but by all of us wanting comfort and pleasure.

Its consequences are global warming – thus more, severe hurricanes and tornadoes – nuclear disasters, ever more disasters and sufferings.

So, we must think about totalitarianism, created basically by attachment, aversion, and delusion, which develops into materialism, militarism, and me-ism.

Then, we must stop it. Otherwise we continue discrimination, exploitation, and the extermination of other species and generations.

We must cut down energy use and material use, and stop shedding blood and tears. When we sit, we realize it, without wrong actions and with more, good, far insights and actions.

Every one of us can become buddhas. Let us become buddhas and avoid shedding blood and tears. This is good in the beginning, middle, and end for all always.
