Sit, See, Serve, and Save

Good morning!

We now have fresh, cool, and crisp air, as if autumn is around the corner. Today in Japan people are observing the fifth-month memorial day of the deceased following the triple tragedy of earthquake, tsunami, and nuclear disaster. They feel impermanence, suffering, and selflessness deeply in their hearts.

Unless we drive these three dharma marks home, we will continue to be enslaved by the selfish sufferings of me-ism, materialism, and militarism, with delusion, domination, and devastation, disregarding the sufferings of other people, species, and generations.

Therefore, we must sit, see the grace of the whole life system in the past, and our responsibility for it in the future, and serve for truth, peace, and freedom of all beings constantly. We must see the unity of the life system, and serve it undivided and unruled.
