Let’s Live Limitless Life, Liberation, Light, and Love

Good morning!

We have now chilly air at 41 degrees. On the way here I listened to NPR, which reported on a nuclear plant near New York City. Its licenses are going to expire in 2013 and 2015. Voices from the wilderness have been calling for its closing. Once a disaster happens, 20,000,000 people within a 50-mile radius will be affected, with no way out.

Nuclear power was said to be safe, but the 2nd worst nuclear disaster happened in Japan. The report I forwarded last night said a New York plant disaster could cause 10 to 100 times more damage than this. Our world has more than 400 nuclear reactors. They are now castles on sand. The space ship, sacrificing starving, jobless, homeless people, is a castle in the air.

Any accident or any attack with or without the selfish path can damage reactors, causing devastation to the world. Rather than building castles on the sand or in the air, we would better live in the brahma-vihâra, based on the universal truth as buddhas, and share limitless liberation, light, love, and life with all – also living and enjoying them.

Our practice is not only for our personal peace, but for the awakened way with all. Personal peace is possible only with public and planetary peace. Pyramid power is possible only with a weighted base. The Buddha lived limitlessly with all always, rain or shine, cold or hot, sacrificing none, saving all. Let us listen to his advice to live on joy:

Better than the one who would conquer thousands upon thousands in the battlefield is the one who would conquer one-self. That is the true conqueror.
