Real Residence to Reside

Good evening!

Now we have the beautiful brilliant moon in the clear calm sky, embracing, and  illuminating the whole world. There is a moon-light bodhisattva (gakkô-bosatsu: 月光菩薩) who settles in limitless space, shines, embraces, and illuminates all beings.

When we sit and still our karmas, we settle in limitless life, light, love, and liberation. There is the fourfold limitlessness (shimuryou: 四無量) or pure residence (brahma-vihâra:shibonjû:四梵住) – friendship, compassion, joy, and equanimity for bodhisattvas to reside in.
