Awakening for All; Zazen Key:Ultimate Solution
We have the inevitable sufferings of birth, aging, sickness, death, and the common ones of parting from the beloved, meeting with the hated, not getting the desired, and the rampant commotion of the five aggregates. These are multiplied by social and environmental ones: wars, nukes, climate change, etc.
These are due to the karma of the triple poisons of desire, divisiveness, and delusion (of self, status, symbolism, etc. for survival strife of evolution through billions of years), multiplied by social institutions (society, state, species, etc.), and environmental disorders (disasters, decimations, pollutions, etc.).
The solution lies in stilling karma, settling in nirvana, seeing the Dharma of Dependent Co-origination (all related/relative: universal truth/ethic), striving in it, serving and saving all. The concrete way is to cultivate within the triple learnings of morality, samadhi (synthesis), and prognosis.
Still sitting (zazen) is the key to the solutions of samsara (birth-death) sufferings, by witnessing and realizing the Dharma and nirvana (two wings to fly freely and fully). It is the ultimate solution of samsara suffering, attaining amṛta (ambrosia of deathlessness) and liberation in the Dharma-dhātu (realm).

Notes:
1. Four sufferings(dukkha, du-kha: wrong-going, going against one’s wish):birth(jāti)・aging(jarā)sickness(byādhi)・death(maraṇa), Eight sufferings:Four sufferings+parting from the beloved(piya), meeting with the hated(appiya), not getting the desired(yampiccha), in short, five appropriated aggregate(pañcupādānakkhandhā)are rampant commotion.
2. The Triple Poisons are desire, divisiveness, and delusion (of a self-same, self-sovereign self). The “Triple Only” are only me, only now, and only money (short-sighted views and actions, which make the wider world worse) , which can be cured by the Triple Learnings of morality, concentration, and prognosis.
3. The triple learnings are morality, integration, and prognosis (sîla, samâdhi, prajñâ). This is done by still sitting (zazen: sitting meditation), stilling karma (action with the triple poisons of desire, divisiveness, delusion), settling in samadhi (harmonious integration: nirvana), and providing prognosis to cultivate our volition (to action), emotion, and intellection.
4. The practice of Zen (jhāna/dhyāna: meditation), the key and core practice of za-zen, sitting meditation, is to still karma, settle in nirvana(nir-vāṇa = ni-vāta: no-wind, of karma, see the Dharma, and serve and save all. This process is categorized in the Four Zen Stages and the Eight Concentration (samādhi) Stages (actually Four Zen Stages plus Four Concentration Stages combined, going together). As shown in the Four Zen Stages thoughts, emotions (the representative five coverings: lust-desire, covetousness-malevolence, sloth-drowsiness, agitation-worries, doubts), and volitions (the representative four fluxes: lust, becoming/identification, views/dogmas, nescience/no witness, of nirvana) are stilled in this order.

5. We may compare individual, social, and environmental phenomena as a bubble, foam, and the ocean. Bubbles change births and deaths, forms and actions, in the foam and the ocean in the Dharma (law of dependent co-origination). We can observe how things go in the wider perspective from the ocean and be liberated from our small, limited bubble view and settle in a wide, calm, clear state (dharma-abhisamaya: direct witness). Such a view and state are dependent on our sense perceptions/consciousnesses/ideas, etc. Nirvana is beyond such psycho-somatic states like sound sleeping alive, but in total control beyond influences from inside and out (nirvana realization). We can see and solve our sufferings from the awakened way and world in zazen and through zen practice.
