Good evening!   Now we can enjoy abundant flowers around us – daffodils, pansies, forsythias, magnolias, crab apples, and so forth, and also we can enjoy the spring air through our open windows – without the boundary of inside and out.   Today is the Flower Festival Day or the Buddha’s birthday. The Buddha changed the total views and value systems like from winter to spring; from night to day; from samsara to nirvana; from karma to dharma, etc.   Someone dumped all his money into the ocean. Some others said, “You had better give it to other people.” He said, “What is really wrong for me is also wrong for others.” Only those who know it know really.   Only those who know the evil of karma know karma and dharma really. Then only we can go beyond all bondages of karmas, and enjoy true freedom and peace, enjoying amrita, ambrosia of immortality.   4/8/13     Photo by Noriyuki Otsuka
