Dogen’s Doei (道元道詠): Poems in the Way, 37

Thirty casual poems at my grass hut (17):

The Mountain of Koshi has come

Without discriminating mind,

Whether summer or winter –

White snow falling, thunder roaring.

Sōan-no gū-ei sanjisshu (17):

Natu-fuyu-mo

Omoi-ni wakanu

Koshi-no yama

Furu-shirayuki-mo

Naru-ikazuchi-mo

草庵之偶詠三十首 (17):

夏冬も

思ひに分かぬ

越の山

降る白雪も

鳴るいかずちも
