Finding Final Resort

Good morning!

 

We have the winter solstice – the shortest day of the year – today. We also had chilly weather and a strong storm, which changed many things.

 

Global warming is causing more earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, etc. All things are interdependent, impermanent, and unsatisfactory (dukkha).

 

So, we must find the final resort in the one permanent, satisfactory thing. That is the dharma, where we can find ultimate truth and unconditioned peace.

Dukkha is literally “wrong-going,” du(k)-kha, going against wishes and wants, usually translated as suffering,
