A monk once asked Dogen, “What is the awakened mind?”
He replied, “A mind that is intimate with all things.”
Through fields of potatoes, buckwheat and corn, passing prayer wheels and stone
houses decorated with prayer flags, we walk up to the village of Lho. Lho is on an
altitude of over 9000 feet. The village is dominated by a newly built Gompa and a
richly decorated Chorten.
