Flowers Fall

Good morning!

We have been having the strong wintry wind since last night. So, we saw many fallen branches on the roads this morning. He had to drive carefully not to hit them.

There is a waka (和歌) poem, which cautions us all:

The vain cherry blossoms of the minds

Thinking that there would be tomorrow.

But, may not storms blow off at night?

Asu-arito

omou-kokoro-no ada-zakura

yowa-ni arashi-no

fukanumonokawa

明日ありと

思う心のあだ桜

夜半に嵐の

吹かぬものかは

Blossoms may meet storms anytime. It is fortunate for us to be able to practice now, much more to taste amrita, ambrosia of immortality, before blossoming flowers fall.
