Good morning!
Usually when we sit early in the morning we have cool, fresh air, but it’s going up to 101 degrees, with a heat index going up to 115. The world seems to be ablaze – flowers are falling. I heard the news of our members’ loved ones passing away.
When my mother died it was unbelievable and unbearable for me. “Why me?” I wondered. When my grandmother passed away, a Buddhist priest said: “She came into being in this world because of causes and conditions, and now she has passed away because of causes and conditions.” I was watching a candle burning because of causes and conditions. Our life is like this – at any time it could go out.
However, we can understand that bubbles appear and disappear in the great ocean. There is a way to go beyond birth and death, pain and pleasure. We can find such a way to overcome our birth and death, disaster and suffering. We are in the great ocean of truth.
