Impermanence:

 

To what is the world compared

It’s the moon dwelling

In the dewdrops strewn

From the beak of a water fowl.

 

 

Mujô:

 

Yononaka-wa

Nani-ni tatoen

Mizutori-no

Hashi-furu tsuyu-ni

Yadoru tsukikage

 

 

無常:

 

世中は

何にたとへん

水鳥の

はしふる露に

やどる月影
