I – Tuan (Age of Zen)
Tsum Valley is one of eight sacred valleys in Tibetan Buddhism. It is called beyul
kyimolug, hidden valley or oasis of peace. In this sacred place it is forbidden to kill
an animal. Milarepa and Guru Rimpoche once stayed and meditated here.
A thirty day pilgrimage path is leading through this valley. People are of Tibetan
origin and speak Tibetan.
