Triple Treasure/Learning

Good morning!

Zazen, still serene sitting, is the practice of the triple learning of sîla, samâdhi, and prajñâ and the appreciation of the triple treasure of buddha, dharma, and sańgha .

It is the essential function and the functional essence of the awakened way – the unity of cultivation and verification perfectly practiced and all goodness provided.

Samâdhi is the core of the triple learning and of the awakened way, which enables everyone to live in a systemic, sustainable, safe, simple way, saving all life.

Note:

Za-zen (坐禅) literally means sitting meditation. Zen is the transliteration of the Chinese chan, and the transliteration of the Pali jhâna, equivalent to the Sanskrit dhyâna.

The triple learning is sîla (morality, lit. pillar), samâdhi (concentration), and prajñâ (prognosis), corresponding to volitional-physical, emotional, and intellectual-intuitional realms.

The triple treasure is Buddha (awakened one), dharma (truth/law, lit. form/norm), and sańgha (community of awakened ones, awakening beings, living beings, and all).
