Good morning!
We are now in the cold season in the natural cycle. However, humans are now changing it and even creating catastrophe.
The news from Japan reported the Bhutan royal family’s visit, the Pacific region’s military buildup, and the problem of nuclear reactors Monju, etc., irradiated rice crop banning for shipment, etc.
The Buddhist country of Bhutan is the leader in the Gross National Happiness index (GNH) on happiness (meditation, etc.), community (friendship, etc.), culture (bias, etc.) – stressing harmony.
The U.S. is shifting and leading its military buildup in the Pacific region, involving the other nations around it, racing with China on militarism, materialism, and me-ism – three maladies to cause miseries.
Japan is experiencing big nuclear disasters and debacles. The reactor Monju cost two trillion yen and required forty more years to start, more money and man power on subsidiaries spent. All of these must be used to decommission it.
Militarism, materialism, and me-ism collide and collapse the wholly wholesome life system. Nuclear bombs and power go against the true meaning of the Bodhisattvas Monju and Fugen.*
We must make the paradigm shift from GNP to GNH, from the three maladies** to the three treasures*** as realized by the true Monju and Fugen Bodhisattvas.

Note:
* Monju Bosatsu (文殊菩薩) is considered to be the Bodhisattva of wisdom from the Chinese characters, but actually the transliteration of Manju-shri Bodhisattva, which means the Bodhisattva of Supreme in Softness. Fugen, also given to a nuclear reactor, derived from Fugen Bosatsu (普賢菩薩), Samanta-bhadhra Bodhisattva, which means the Bodhisattva of Universal Wisdom/Auspiciousness/Happiness.
** Three maladies: militarism, materialism, me-ism
*** Three treasures: buddha, dharma, sangha: awakening, norm/form, community
