Tokyo Election Turning Earth?

  Tokyo Governor Election: Critical Turning Point of the World:?   The past Premier Hosokawa, with the strong support of the past Premier Koizumi (of LDP in line with previous Premiers Hatoyama, Kan of DP, and Murayama of SDP against nuke plants) and the more than 70% Japanese people that are against nuke plants, is in a race against previous Welfare Minister Masuzoe, backed by the present Premier Abe of LDP and the political partner CGP.   Hosokawa’s candidacy is centered on eliminating the nuke plants (all off line after the devastating Fukushima No. 1 crises – three plants melted down and the fourth exploded with new and spent fuels 100′ above ground with weak supports – forcing about 200,000 refugees even almost three years after the disaster), meant to oppose Abe’s restarting them and exporting such.   Hosokawa’s intention is to change the course of Japan against Abe’s militaristic (visiting Yasukuni Shrine enshrining war criminals against the strong oppositions of China and Korea and cautions from the States, EU, etc., pushing for altering the Peace Constitution, perhaps with the nuke capability option by putting the plants on line) and materialistic (growth, corporate) tendencies.   Hosokawa (and Koizumi) recommend the energy policy of abolishing nuke plants with their problems of accidents (on earthquake prone country) and shifting to renewable energy for better, safer, and more prosperous life with the paradigm shift of GDP to GDH (harmonious, healthy, happy life with more peaceful, natural, ecological ways with people and planet).   Polls say Masuzoe is leading and Hosokawa following with Utsunomiya, who also wants to stop the restart of nuke plants, thus dividing the no nuke electorate into two (failing the unified candidacy). If Hosokawa wins on 2/9, Abe needs to re- consider his prerogative push backed with majority rule in both Houses, and become a great sea change for nukes and paradigm shift in the world.   2/2/14     Morihiro Hosokawa     … Continue reading →

Unlimited Views: Unlimited Values

    Good morning!   We can still see the bright round moon high in the clear, cool, wintry sky. We had a clear calm world to drive through. Sitting like great old sequoias, we have the serene, still, single world.   Heavy snow falling and piling makes even going out difficult, and it’s much more difficult and dangerous driving through a snow storm with the windshield not well wiped by frozen wipers.   Limited views and values make all limited. The Four Perverted Views of permanence, pleasure, self, and purity are against impermanence, suffering, no-self, and impurity in Dependent Origination Dharma and karma.   Unlimited views are limitless values with holy truth, beauty, and goodness. Paradigm Shift of Ego, Economy, and Ecology

    Good morning!   About twenty-five centuries ago the Buddha foresaw the destruction of the world due to the triple poisons and had been striving every day to share with all beings the way to forsake and surrender (we must surrender all  to the Dharma-dhatu anyway) them. He taught the lessons of  “the world on fire” (seeing an actual village fire and sharing the cause of it in terms of the six sense organs burning) and “the son’s flesh” (the story of parents lost in the desert eating their beloved son’s flesh out of hunger and thirst, indicating our sacrifice of the most valuable things out of thirst, taṇhā), which we witness in global warming and the sacrifice of future generations.   Mankind is now the culprit of the sixth mass extinction, more than a hundred species extinct per day, with overcatching, habitat destruction, pollution of life systems, and changes in climate, sea levels, glaciers, and coral reefs causing mountain slides, fires, flooding, wars, starvation, genocides, and the defilement of bodies, brains, hearts, hara (guts), minds, mouths, individuals, societies, cultures, environments, etc. Ego, economy, and ecology are deluded, damaged, and destroyed by the triple poisons. An artificial uni-directional pyramidal system of civilization has replaced the natural cyclical Indra-net system of cultivation.   Bubbles and foam can exist only in the ocean, not the other way around. So, greater Ecology (eco-logos: home truth, Dharma-dhātu, Indra-net) must come first, before Economy (eco-nomos: home norm, home account) and Ego (I, Ich, Aham, actually no independent, eternal Ego or Self), which are both dependent upon Ecology.
