Jihi (慈悲), Friendship Compassion

Good morning!

We had nice compassionate rain last night. So, we have now a fresh green world with beautiful birds’ singing.

With the compassionate rain the world returned to being a wholly wholesome one, with harmony and happiness.

Compassion in Japanese is jihi (慈悲), actually a combination of two words, ji, friendship (慈: mettâ/maitrî: Pari/Skt.), and hi, compassion (悲: karunâ).

It is said that ji (慈) is giving pleasure and that hi (悲) is removing pain. These, both or either, can make the world wholly wholesome with pleasure and peace.
