Short-sight Short-circuit

Good morning!

We are now in February. We have nice rather unusual warm days reaching 65 degrees. In Japan they have unusual heavy snowfall days claiming more than 50 people.

I had my car and my impermanence problems. I watched the video of Tetsu Nakamura and his Peshawar Society. He was weak in his early age and loved small unusual insects.

He became a doctor, having the chance to visit Afghanistan to climb Hidukush Mountain and watch unusual insects there. He saw many villagers without doctors and medicines.

Later he had a chance to become a doctor there and then to create his clinics in the deep mountains. He saw drought there and dug first wells, then canals for farming and food.

He has been there a quarter century, creating communities with cooperation, food, and now schools for the future generations to come and to cope with their own situations.

There have been wars there causing tens of thousand of civilian casualties. He said wars and violence never solve their problems, but only food, fine community and education.

We must conquer ourselves rather than others in the battlefield as the Buddha said. This is the true conquering, clear from individual, societal, and ecological evidences.

We had better a wholly wholesome way and world grounded on the original system rather than self-centered separated samsara and suffering on short-sight and short-circuit.
